Atsuko Takefusa received B.S., M.S., and Ph.D. (Sci.) degrees from Ochanomizu University in 1996, 1998, and 2000, respectively. She previously worked at Ochanomizu University and the National Institute of Advanced Industrial Science and Technology (AIST), and she joined the National Institute of Informatics as an associate professor in 2016. She has been a professor at the National Institute of Informatics and the Graduate University for Advanced Studies (SOKENDAI) since 2021. She has also been a team reader of RIKEN R-CCS since 2024. She is a member of ACM, IEEE, IPSJ, and IEICE.
