Aldo Faisal is a professor of AI and neuroscience at Imperial College London (ICL). He is founding director of the £20 million UKRI Centre for Doctoral Training in AI for Healthcare at ICL. His own research labs are the Behaviour Analytics Lab at the ICL Data Science Institute and the Brain & Behaviour Lab in the ICL Department of Bioengineering and Department of Computing. He is also the chair of Digital Health at the University of Bayreuth.

Aldo is an associate editor for Nature Scientific Data and PLOS Computational Neuroscience. He has acted as program chair/area chair for key conferences including KDD, Neurotechnix, NIPS, and IEEE-EMBS Body Sensor Networks. He was elected in 2016 to the Global Future Council of the World Economic Forum (Davos), named associate group head at MRC London Institute of Medical Sciences, and made an honorary senior fellow of Oxford University’s Nuffield Department of Clinical Neurosciences.

Aldo's expertise lies in combining data-driven methods, machine learning, and human behavior and neuroscience to develop novel human-aware AI technology that helps people in health and disease.
