Biography
Tae-Hyuk Ahn is an Associate Professor of Computer Science at Saint Louis University, USA, and since 2021, also an Adjunct Professor in the Department of AI Convergence, Gwangju Institute of Science and Technology (GIST), Korea. His research spans bioinformatics, high-performance computing, big-data analytics, and machine/deep learning. From 2012 to 2015, he was a Research Associate at Oak Ridge National Laboratory, where he conducted metagenomics research on supercomputers. Dr. Ahn received the Ph.D. in Computer Science from Virginia Tech (2012), the M.S. in Electrical and Computer Engineering from Northwestern University (2007), and the B.S. from Yonsei University, Seoul, Korea (2000).
