Tu Tran is currently a PhD student in Computer Science and Engineering at The Ohio State University. He also serves as a graduate research associate at NOWLAB, where he actively contributes to the long-standing MVAPICH project. This project provides scalable, high-performance communication middleware that empowers supercomputers on the TOP500 list. His research interests include high performance computing (HPC), programming models, collective communication, and high-performance networking. Currently, he focuses on optimizing communication within the Message Passing Interface (MPI) for high-performance networks such as InfiniBand, Slingshot, and Omni-Path Express, including the latest Compute Express Link (CXL) initiative.
