Tasmia Jannat is a Ph.D. student in Computer Science at Missouri University of Science and Technology. Her research focuses on high-performance computing (HPC), including GPU-accelerated geometric algorithms and Processing-in-Memory (PIM) architectures. She has contributed a journal article (under review) and a forthcoming book chapter on GPU-based filter-and-refine techniques for polygon intersection. Her recent work involves optimizing spatial indexing structures, such as R-trees, for efficient CPU–DPU co-design using UPMEM DPUs. She is also engaged in benchmarking and categorizing parallel and distributed vector search algorithms for large-scale, data-intensive applications.
