1975-2005 senior scientist, CERN, European Centre for Particle Physics, Geneva, Switzerland.
PI of EU DataGrid 2000-2003 and initiator and PI of EGEE 1 and 2 2003-2005.
Cofounder of GGF and OGF.
Initiator and director of the first Grid school in 2003 and following years.
Director for external research in Latam and EMEA at Microsoft (2005-2013).
Since 2013 senior advisor to the Barcelona Supercomputing Centre.
Director of the ACM HPC summer school in Barcelona in 2019, 2021, 2022, 2023 and 2024.
Director of the first virtual EU-ASEAN HPC school in Bangkok, in July 2021.
Director of the second in presence EU-ASEAN HPC school in Bangkok, 2022.
Visiting professor, Gran Sasso Scientific Institute, 2013-15.
Leader of many EU funded projects in Europe and elsewhere.
