Thomas Schwinge is a software engineer at BayLibre, primarily working on GCC (GNU Compiler Collection), in particular adding support for OpenACC/OpenMP (directive-based parallel programming models) with code offloading to NVIDIA GPUs (project started in June 2013) and AMD GPUs. In September 2018, Thomas was appointed GCC/OpenACC maintainer, and in July 2023 he was appointed GCC/nvptx maintainer. He is an active member of the OpenACC Technical Committee.
