Biography
Riccardo Balin is an assistant computational scientist at the Leadership Computing Facility (LCF) at Argonne National Laboratory (ANL). He is currently working on integrating online data analytics, machine learning and data compression algorithms with extreme scale simulations of complex turbulent flows. Before joining Argonne, Riccardo obtained his PhD from the University of Colorado at Boulder studying the physics and modeling of turbulent wall-bounded flows under strong pressure gradients.
