Dr. Sergi Girona is the Operations Director and CIO of the Barcelona Supercomputing Center (BSC-CNS). He holds a PhD in computer engineering from UPC and has led BSC’s Operations Department since 2004. Sergi oversaw the deployment of MareNostrum and corresponding infrastructures, and manages the Spanish Supercomputing Network (RES).
