Akshay Subramaniam
Biography
Akshay Subramaniam is a senior AI developer technology engineer at NVIDIA, specializing in AI-powered climate modeling and advanced data workflows at petascale and beyond. His recent contributions include enhancing workflows for large-scale climate data, applying generative AI methods to weather and climate applications, and supporting the Zarr ecosystem for scalable scientific data storage. Akshay also brings extensive expertise in developing efficient algorithms for modern GPU architectures, with a strong emphasis on performance optimization, scalability, and high performance computing. Prior to joining NVIDIA, he completed his PhD at Stanford University with research focused on turbulent flows, computational physics, numerical algorithms, high performance computing, and deep learning.
