Biography
William (Bill) Glick is a Senior Systems Engineer at the National Center for Supercomputing Applications (NCSA), University of Illinois Urbana-Champaign. He specializes in high-performance computing (HPC), focusing on deploying and managing large-scale Linux clusters for scientific research. Bill leads efforts to automate infrastructure setup, improve scalability, and ensure system reliability. His work includes implementing infrastructure-as-code, managing system lifecycles, and integrating modern configuration tools to maintain consistency across compute environments. He also contributes to internal documentation and promotes best practices in cluster administration. Bill’s hands-on approach supports NCSA’s mission to advance computational science through robust infrastructure.
