Biography
Nahid Emad received the HDR in computer science from the University of Paris Saclay/Versailles, the PhD and MS in applied mathematics from the Sorbonne University and the BS in pure mathematics from the University of Arak (Iran). She is Professor at the University of Paris Saclay/Versailles and affiliated with the Maison de la Simulation and LI-PARAD laboratories. She maintains long-standing international collaborations, notably with Japan and Germany and with the United States where she is an affiliate professor at the University of California at Berkeley. Her main research interests include numerical linear algebra, spectral computation, parallel and distributed programming methodology, software engineering for parallel and distributed numerical computing, and high-performance data analysis.
