Biography
I’m a High-Risk Research & Data Facilitator at Stanford University, where I’m spear-heading efforts to secure high-risk research environments in alignment with federal standards such as HIPAA, NIST SP 800-171 and CMMC 2.0. With over seven years of hands-on experience in high-performance computing (HPC), cybersecurity, and regulated research, I bring a unique blend of technical depth and practical policy implementation to the academic research space.
My work focuses on translating complex NIST frameworks into actionable, scalable practices across research computing infrastructure, including Kubernetes clusters, protected data storage, and researcher workflows. Prior to Stanford, I supported HPC operations at NASA Ames Research Center and Los Alamos National Laboratory, where I worked on Lustre file systems, cybersecurity testing, and systems administration for scientific computing.
In addition to my technical work, I founded an Innovation Program at Stanford that connects Year Up interns with professionals across campus, helping them build the skills and confidence needed for successful careers.
Looking ahead, I’m driven by the goal of making a lasting impact at the intersection of research and cybersecurity, by empowering faculty and staff to innovate securely, shaping institutional policy grounded in technical reality, and mentoring the next generation of cybersecurity professionals who will carry that vision forward.
