Poornima Nookala is currently working as a Software Research Engineer/Scientist at Intel Corporation. She holds a Ph.D. in Computer Science from the Illinois Institute of Technology and has over 10 years of industry experience. Her research interests span parallel programming models, runtime systems for extreme-scale supercomputing, computer architecture, cloud computing, data-intensive computing, and big-data sciences. She is specifically interested in bridging the gap between software and hardware layers to enhance both functionality and performance.
