Biography
Tzanio Kolev is a Computational Mathematician in the Center for Applied Scientific Computing at Lawrence Livermore National Laboratory, where he works on high-order finite element methods for a variety of HPC applications. He is the project leader of the MFEM finite element library and was the director of the Center for Efficient Exascale Discretizations (CEED) in the Exascale Computing Project (ECP). Tzanio's research interests include the development and analysis of finite element discretizations, high-order mesh adaptivity, matrix-free preconditioning, massively parallel GPU simulations, and the design and implementation of large-scale scientific software.
