Claudia Frauen is a research software engineer at the German Climate Computing Center (DKRZ) in Hamburg, Germany. Within the application support department she is leading the group working on strategies for performance portability to enable kilometer-scale climate simulations. Claudia has a background in both high performance computing and climate science and she received her PhD in climate science from Christian-Albrechts-University Kiel and the GEOMAR Helmholtz Centre for Ocean Research Kiel.
