PCSS (The Poznan Supercomputing and Networking Center), affiliated with the Institute of Bioorganic Chemistry of the Polish Academy of Sciences, is a globally recognized R&D hub in the European Research Area. Specializing in advanced ICT infrastructure, PCSS collaborates with over 1,000 partners worldwide, primarily through EU Framework Programs. Its systems are regularly listed in TOP500, GREEN500, and IO500 rankings. Recent highlights include the PIAST-AI project - part of the European AI Factories network and the deployment of a quantum computer under the EuroHPC Joint Undertaking. PIONIER, operated by PCSS, is Poland’s national fiber-optic network (9,267 km total), evolving toward terabit-level speeds. It connects Poland to European research networks via GÉANT and supports the European Open Science Cloud (EOSC).
